All Energy Session 25 Oct 11:20 – 12:40 Room 212
Presentation was well received in a full auditorium for the policy session.
For you who couldn’t make it but are still interested to learn what VEECs, ESCs, PRCs, STCs, ACCUs etc. are all about here is the presentation, now also updated with the latest VEEC submission data until 18 December:

Here is Monday’s annual graph from our friends at Core Markets:
Core Market also noted in their news letter on 14 December:
“The spot VEECs climbed early in the session to $90.00 in 10k, 5k and 5k, followed by $90.25 in 10k, moving through the $90.00 penalty. The shortfall penalty for the 2023 compliance year is $90.00 per certificate, however it must be noted that the tax effective rate for profit making companies sits closer to $128.50.”
Solar PV follows LED upgrade
Earlier in the year we completed a full LED upgrade at this refrigerated site, following our motto of reduction before production.
At the same time as installing solar we are also repairing their Power Factor Correction unit that had 60% of the capacitors broken causing excessive demand charges.
We are now looking at expansions with large batteries for this and other sites of this client and also other ways of participating with their flexible demand in the FCAS and demand savings markets.
All Energy Session 25 Oct 11:20 – 12:40 Room 212
Nicklas will try and take the mystery out of VEECs, ESCs, PRCs, STCs, ACCUs etc. Hopefully see you there!
“Nicklas will give an overview of the existing energy efficiency and renewable incentives across individual states and federal incentives. He will share which schemes are currently popular, and what are normal incentives for a standard upgrade or install. What are the eligibility and compliance issues with the popular activities. For which activities can you double or even triple dip certificates, and which are you not allowed to claim together. Also, which schemes and activities in particular incentivises electrification of both homes and businesses. This includes Nicklas’ favourite activity of helping councils with their business case for getting off gas in their aquatic centres with the help of the available M&V schemes. Finally what new activities can we expect are in the regulators pipeline, and what activities may soon be phased out.”
The presentation will be based on our activities table that is continuously being updated:
